Betfair in Tasmania

SportSim News

SportSim headed south to the Apple Isle recently, to support Betfair for their Tasmanian staff Christmas party.

Betfair were looking for an interactive activity that would complement their other entertainment offerings on the night. A good time was had by all at the Old Woolstore in Macquarie St, Hobart…a great venue and a great night!

A business in the sports industry naturally attracts sports-mad employees, and this was evident as soon as SportSim set up….the sports simulator got swamped with wannabe superstars, keen to show off their talents. As the night continued to flow, dinner was complemented by a healthy serving of ‘competitive spirit’.

Although the sports simulator was initially set up for NFL, it soon became obvious that this Tassie crowd wanted some AFL action. A competition soon followed, with the difficulty levels adjusted based on the level of confidence of each ‘have-a-go hero’. Friendly rivalry, some humorous heckling, and the odd lost shoe…but it was great to see everyone get involved…male, female, and all abilities represented.

Once the skin had literally been kicked off the footy, some of the ladies took a breather from the dance floor to take on the ‘walking dead’. The sport simulator showed its versatility by providing 30 mins of non-stop Zombie Dodgeball action.

The SportSim simulator provides an interactive and engaging alternative for all types of events, so contact us today to learn more, or to make a booking.
