Contactless Game - Telstra

SportSim recently supported marketing agency Imagination (Sydney) to deliver an innovative in-store digital experience for their client, Telstra.

Imagination wanted to showcase the lightning speed of Telstra’s 5G Network, and give members of the public an exciting, interactive experience that demonstrated the speed and responsiveness, relative to earlier generation networks.

In conjunction with Imaginations creative capabilities, SportSim developed a touchscreen game experience that took players on a game journey through different levels…..each level getting faster (and harder) to represent the evolution of Telstra’s network technology over time.

Of course, nothing is simple in the Covid-era, so the game was modified to be contactless using ‘floating’ Infra Red overlay frames, allowing the same level of interactivity and responsive gameplay, but as a contactless solution.

Deployed in Telstra flagship stores in both Sydney and Melbourne, the game has been well received by both staff and consumers, and has been an effective campaign tool in raising public awareness of the power of Telstra 5G.
